COST
The cost for a standard 50- minute session is between $190 - $210. However there are also reductions for low-income families and some may be eligible for Medicare rebates or private health insurance cover.

Medicare assistance
Some clients may be eligible for services under the Medicare Better Access Program. A Mental Health Care Plan can be arranged through your GP. If eligible this will entitle you to up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

Private Health Cover
If you have private health cover please advise your psychologist who will ensure you have a receipt to enable you to make claim. This will only apply if not in receipt of a Medicare rebate.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has been brought in by the Australian government to create a national scheme to ensure that people with a disability can access reasonable and necessary assistance to enable them to live an ordinary life.

SUPERVISION
Helen is a registered play therapy supervisor (APPTA) and currently supervises students enrolled in the Master of Play Therapy course at Deakin University. She also offers professional supervision to others in the field of human services practicing with children and families.
